  1. When should I set up my Gift Registry?

    The setting up of your Gift Registry can be done at any time, but we suggest doing so 2-3 months prior to your event to ensure a stress-free & enjoyable process. We further suggest that you set up your Gift Registry before you send out invitations so that you can include our complimentary Gift Registry Cards with your invitations.

  2. What services are included & what costs are involved?

    It's free! Gift Tree’s services include a Gift Tree Expert on-hand throughout the process to personally assist you, complimentary Gift Registry Cards, a wrapping service & delivery of your gifts to your door.

  3. Where does Gift Tree deliver?

    We deliver gifts all over South Africa. *Please note certain delivery charges do apply for deliveries out of central Cape Town. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions in this regard.

  4. What items can I add to my Gift Registry?

    You can add whatever your heart desires from our range of unique & quality suppliers that Gift Tree has on offer. Chat to a Gift Tree Expert if you need help deciding or are looking for something specific.

  5. How many items should I add to my Gift Registry?

    It is advisable to have a wide variety of items to suit different guest preferences & budgets, so that your guests can find something that they love & can afford. You can add items & update your registry at any point in time.

  6. How do my guests know where to purchase our gifts from?

    We provide you with complimentary Gift Registry Cards to add to your invitations (electronic versions available) that provide your guests with the necessary information in order to easily find your Gift Registry & purchase a gift for you. Our contact details will be on the Gift Registry Cards so that your guests can contact us directly should they have any queries.

  7. How do our guests purchase gifts?

    • Find the registry you are looking for;
    • Select the gift(s) you wish to purchase by changing the quantity to your desired purchase quantity of the product you want on the right;
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and type your message to the couple. We handwrite each message and attach them to the gifts;  
    • When you are ready click "Buy Now" to proceed to checkout;
    • If you would like to buy more than 1 type of gift, you may do so by selecting a 2nd or 3rd gift, as applicable;
    • At checkout you will have the option to include wrapping for R25. If you select this, your gift/s will be beautifully wrapped. This is a once off R25 cost for your cart, not per item. Once done, click Check Out;
    • Complete your details and click "Continue to Shipping";
    • Select the shipping option "Choose this if you are purchasing for a wedding registry" and the shipping rate will be set to zero;
    • Click "Continue to payment method", select payfast and then "Complete Order";
    • You will be directed to a Payfast secure page where you can process your payment via Credit Card or EFT;
    • All gifts purchased for registries are delivered directly to the happy couple 4-6 weeks after the big day.

       

  8. How do I know who bought us gifts?

    All your gifts will be delivered to you beautifully wrapped with a handwritten card from whom it was bought with their special message to you. In addition, straight after your big day we will be provide you with your a Thank You Card Organiser, which shall list which gifts were purchased for you by whom – making writing your thank you cards quick & easy.

  9. What happens if a gift that is bought is out of stock?

    Well you clearly have good taste! We do our utmost to ensure that we do not disappoint you, but unfortunately sometimes stock levels are out of our control, However, don’t worry, as you will get to then select any other item(s) off your registry to the same value.

  10. Can I swap the gifts purchased?

    We give you the opportunity to finalise any gift swaps or changes after your wedding before any gifts are ordered. This allows you to get the gifts you really need or that your heart desires.

  11. When will our gifts be delivered?

    After your big day we will ask you to confirm your Gift Registry order. Thereafter, we will order your gifts, which generally takes approximately 4-6 weeks for us to receive, wrap & deliver your gifts to your door. *Please refer to our Terms & Conditions regarding delivery*
